JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly experience software test engineer who is experienced and passionate about improving test outcomes on innovative networking technologies.
Ideal candidates will have a test development and/or development background along with in-depth knowledge of Ethernet, RDMA, Network Protocols, Systems management interfaces, Embedded CPUs, Host networking stacks (Linux, ESXi, Windows, etc), Seeking candidates who are excited about software testing, passionate to put in the hard work to improve test coverage, and learn quickly and provide strong guidance to others in test design and automation development.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in test team activities including requirements analysis, test planning, tracking, reporting, and support of test cycles.
· Engage with Architecture, Hardware and Software leads to comprehend new features and design test strategies, test cases and automation
· Work directly with technical customers to understand use cases and apply the knowledge gained to test improvements and to help guide the direction of the product
· Audit existing test strategy and artifacts for improvements, optimizations, and effectively inspire improvement from others
· Should be comfortable in a lab environment occasionally configuring the servers, operating systems, switches, etc. Understand the details of the interactions between varied devices through packet traces and debug log analysis.
· Implement tools and test automation to increase effectiveness and efficiency
Additional Requirements
· Experience with one or more languages as applied to test automation development, preferably Python
· Demonstrated experience with system level debugging, and systems performance analysis
· Demonstrated experience working in Linux environments at the system administrator down to kernel interfaces
· Knowledgeable of current industry network equipment testing practices.
· Demonstrated ability to test at a deep level, and analyze issues found before engaging software development
· Knowledge of high performance processors, system on chip designs, and subsystem software and hardware.
· Ability to demonstrate successful problem solving and analysis skills (i.e. determine root cause of performance shortfalls), including analyzing performance bottlenecks of processors and other system hardware blocks
· C system programming is highly desired
· Think critically and communicate clearly
